– The greaves are made of armor-weight 10 oz vegetable-tanned leather (almost 5 mm thick), hand-carved and then hardened to hold the shape that you see.
– The leather is dyed with a waterproof black under-coat, and gilded with a high-quality acrylic that is flexible and waterproof. There is no need to worry about any color rubbing off on skin or clothing, and in the event of a spill, it is easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
