No flimsy craft foam here, this is genuine, armor-weight leather that has been carved and tooled by hand, immaculately true to the film costume and exquisite even under the closest scrutiny. The pictures speak for themselves — this is a piece that will hold up over the years and draw admiration wherever it goes.
The facts:
– This listing is for one pauldron with strap & chest piece, as per the movie costume. If you’re interested in buying two pauldrons (for original character costumes, etc) send me a private message to discuss pricing and other adjustments.
– The pauldron is comprised of two wet-molded plates of leather, 9-10 oz on the top and 8 oz on the bottom. You know that picture floating around the on internet of Tom Hiddleston in costume, carrying a kid on his shoulders? Yup, you could do that too, because this is legitimate armor and you don’t have to worry about it breaking on you.
– The chest panel is 8 oz leather. The straps are 1.5″ wide synthetic leather.
– The design on it was derived from studying movie stills at various angles, promotional pictures, and some photos of the actual costume piece to make it as true to the original as possible.
– When purchased together with the bracers, you also get Loki’s necklace piece for free.
PLEASE NOTE that everything at Armory Rasa is made to order, so let me know if you have a deadline for the project. If your timeline is less than two months, I recommend contacting me before placing your order to make sure that it’s feasible with my current workload. Projects that need a very tight turnaround may incur a +15% expediting fee. **
